well well well...look who's back. Just an update/warning on what i am going to be starting in the new year....

It is about that time to start really thinking about my Cosplay goal for next Dragon*con...Lulu from FFXI. I've wanted to do this for the longest time and just never felt comfortable with doing Cosplay at all. I have lost quite a bit of weight and am feeling better about it in general. And if i was going to Cosplay ANYONE...it would be her, cause it just fits. Many have said so on that one. So i am going to give it a try. And of course...i pick a notoriously hard Cosplay to start with. It is also, very interesting...that i will have to do this with no sewing machine! More likely, i will have to enlist help from someone with a sewing machine, or purchase a ball skirt and alter it by hand.

But these are all plans to be made! I am a stickler for the little details and i am sure i will drive myself insane with this. I am already obsessing about finding a lace trim that can pass or be altered to be as perfect as possible. I DO NOT want to cut fake belts from vinyl...i would like to use real belts (HEAVY!) one of my pet pevs of Lulu Cosplay is that the skirt (the MAIN part of the whole outfit) is always left looking very saggy and with no shape. I have been kicking around ideas of making sure that doesn't happen.

I found a corset company that does Cosplay corsets and the have a lovely Lulu one! I am not a fan of people buying their costumes. But i cannot make a corset...i just cant. AND i could make a bodice out of fabric....but the shape you get with a corset is important to me. So i am buying it when i have the money. All the work i STILL have to do will more than make up for this i think. [link]

Also, a friend of mine is doing this whole Alice in Wonderland group (of her own design) and wants me to be the Red Queen. I will also keep that on here too, though she is making this one...not me.

Any suggestion that anyone has...please please do tell. This is a big complicated mess and i would greatly appreciate any and all feedback throughout all this.
